Jules BerryJules Berry, Managing Director of Julesbury Refurbishment, began his journey working with wood from a very young age, having grown up in a 100-acre farm surrounded in woodland in East Sussex.
It was a natural progression for Jules to become interested in forestry, wood and carpentry. As a boy, he would fiddle around with planks, saws and other assorted tools, experimenting in ways that would give most parents an anxiety attack. By 19 Jules was working on major theatrical and film-set constructions at the Oxford Playhouse and within the film industry; one of his earliest projects was 'Tales of a Vampire', the set from which was fitted inside the Old Library at New Cross. After achieving his qualifications during 1995 in Furniture Design & Realisation, and Architecture & Design (History), he developed and honed his carpentry and joinery skills. He then went on to build his own thriving business, taking commissions in furniture, kitchens, bathrooms and wetrooms. Jules has taken time to vet and find each member of his small (but perfectly formed) team of freelance painters, decorators, electricians, plumbers and workmen. Each brings their own specialist knowledge and experience, so Jules knows he can assemble the best team available for each project. |
"I really enjoy having Jules working in my home. He's thorough, and his eye for detail is unmatchable. |
